COMPATIBLE READERS AND FORMATS

Ebook formats

The vast majority of our ebooks are EPUBs. EPUB is the industry standard format for ebooks. It is supported by Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) software and can be read on most devices, including the iPad and iPhone, Kobo readers, Sony readeres and Barnes & Noble’s Nook.

EPUBs are reflowable, allowing the rader to and resize text so that it runs over a greater or lesser number of pages, and adjust other page settings to their liking.

We do not sell illustrated fixed layout ebooks, e.g. most cookbooks, directly. Fixed layouts can be purchased via the Other Retailers links on our book pages, or direct from iBooks, Kobo or Google Play.

Ebook readers

The most popular ebook reading devices currently are:

  • Apple’s iPad and iPhone
  • Amazon’s Kindle
  • Kobo’s Touch, Glo and Aura readers, and Arc tablets
  • Sony’s Reader
  • Google’s Nexus
  • Barnes & Noble’s Nook
  • Samsung’s Galaxy

We support all of these devices except Amazon’s Kindle, due to Amazon’s proprietary DRM. To purchase our ebooks for your kindle, visit Amazon.

For a list of all compatible eReaders, see the Adobe website.
