Sam Mitchell is now 34 and a father to three children and a husband to Lyndall. He is writing his autobiography, provisionally titled See You At the Big Dance after his famous catchcry to teams he's leaving in his dust in their quest to play in the grand final aka The Big Dance - with the assistance of gun ghostwriter Glenn McFarlane, associate sports editor of the Herald Sun and the foremost Hawthorn FC historian. Glenn is the author of several books, his most recent for Pan Macmillan was the acclaimed war history The Fair Dinkums.
