Nine Pan Macmillan books make the ABIA longlist

Congratulations to our authors who are in the running for an Australian Book Industry Award (ABIA) this year.

The Australian Book Industry Awards is an annual celebration that celebrates the connection between Australian readers and the ‘book makers’ – authors, editors, publishing professionals and retailers, who unite to create the must-read books of the year.

Our longlisted authors and their books:

Biography Book of the Year – Wednesdays with Bob by Bob Hawke and Derek Rielly
Book of the Year for Older Children (ages 13+) – Take Three Girls by Cath Crowley, Fiona Wood and Simmone Howell 
Book of the Year for Older Children (ages 13+) – The Silent Invasion by James Bradley
Book of the Year for Younger Children (ages 7-12) – The 91-Storey Treehouse by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton
General Fiction Book of the Year  – Force of Nature by Jane Harper
General Non-fiction Book of the Year – First, we make the beast beautiful by Sarah Wilson
General Non-fiction Book of the Year – Taming Toxic People by David Gillespie
Illustrated Book of the Year – Ostro by Julia Busuttil Nishimura
Literary Fiction Book of the Year – Taboo by Kim Scott
