Author Information

Catharine Lumby is a widely-published columnist and feature writer who has written four books. She is the Associate Professor of Media Studies and Director of the Media and Communications Program at Sydney University.

Duncan Fine gave up law to work as a television writer specialising in children's programs. He is currently senior script editor for the (Logie-winning) Hi-5 show. He is the national parenting columnist for News Ltd newspapers.
