Manuscript Monday

Click here for information on Manuscript Monday, an initiative wherein we will accept submissions between 10am and 4pm on a Monday that are sent electronically and comply with the guidelines as listed on the Manuscript Monday page.

Submission Guidelines

We no longer accept hard copy submissions. If you have an unsolicited manuscript which you would like us to read please visit the Manuscript Monday page via the link above.

Only submissions which adhere to the guidelines laid out on the Manuscript Monday page will be accepted and reviewed; all others will be deleted.

Your submission will be read within three months of submission and you will be contacted if successful. If you do not hear from us, we do not wish to take your pitch further.

Pan Macmillan Australia publishes books for the general market in the following categories:

• General Fiction

• Literary Fiction

• Thrillers

• Crime Fiction

• Current Affairs

• True Crime

• Health/Self Help

• Humour

• Memoirs/Biography/Autobiography

• History

• Travel/Adventure

We are extremely selective in accepting works for publication and are currently cutting back on our publishing programme, so only works of the highest level of originality and market appeal can be considered. We do not accept submissions for short story collections, poetry or children's picture books.
