We are thrilled to announce that four of our fantastic titles have been nominated for this year’s prestigious Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIAs)!
In the realm of general fiction, Matthew Reilly has graced us with his incredible knack for storytelling with Mr Einstein’s Secretary. This gripping narrative has earned its spot on the much-coveted ABIAs shortlist. This spellbinding thrill ride keeps you turning pages right up until the very end – if you haven’t already, indulge yourself in this literary feast.
Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton’s ever-popular Treehouse series continues to captivate and entertain children across the nation. The 169-Storey Treehouse is the final delightful instalment nominated for the Book of the Year for Younger Children. This magical and wildly imaginative tale is sure to take our young readers on an enchanting journey they’ll never forget.
Our nomination for the Book of the Year for Older Children is Helena Fox’s evocative The Quiet and the Loud. Deftly handling themes of adolescence, change, and self-discovery, this book is a testament to Fox’s beautifully resonant and emotional storytelling. It truly deserves its place on the shortlist.
We’re also excited to announce the nomination of Prima Facie by Suzie Miller for the Literary Fiction Book of the Year. A powerful and thoughtful exploration of the modern justice system, Miller’s incisive storytelling and compelling narrative voice have undoubtedly driven this novel to the top of its category.
Turning the focus to the realm of audio, we celebrate The Teacher’s Pet by Hedley Thomas. This gripping audio narrative has created waves and has been rightfully recognised and nominated for the Audiobook of the Year. An excellent companion for long drives or quiet nights in, this absorbing audiobook captivates listeners with every passing minute.
We convey our heartfelt congratulations to all the authors and artists. We also extend our gratitude to the ABIAs for recognising their efforts and express our hope that these beautiful works get the recognition they deserve. Read more about the nominees and the awards here.
