Sisters Maria and Eva Konecsny founded Gewürzhaus in 2010 when they opened their first store in Melbourne, and they now have 12 stores all across Australia. Gewürzhaus sells more than 350 single-origin spices, herbs, salts, peppers, teas and sugars from around the world, and also mills over 100 exclusive small-batch blends.
For Maria and Eva, cooking from the home and heart has always been an integral part of connecting four generations of women in their family. This goes all the way back to their grandmother, Oma Rosa, a cake baker by trade, and Oma Liesel, who nurtured them in the kitchen from day dot.
