The incredible Helena Fox has been nominated for a Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) award for her debut novel, How it Feels to Float. Her book was nominated for Book of the Year in the older reader category alongside five other young adult books. Pan Macmillan congratulates all the nominees. We are very proud to see Helena grabbing yet another nomination as well.
For How it Feels to Float, Helena has also won the Writing for Young Adults Award for the 2020 Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards.
Helena has also been shortlisted for the Ethel Turned Prize for Young People’s Literature in the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards. And she has been longlisted for Book of the Year for Older Children in the ABIA Awards.
We are overjoyed to see the recognition coming through for this heartfelt and moving novel. And we look forward to seeing the outcomes of all these nominations!
